The Importance of Lexicography in the Translation of Terminology Between English and Uzbek

Abstract

This article examines the importance of lexicography in translating social, economic, and political terminology between English and Uzbek. It analyzes lexical transformation techniques, including transliteration, transcription, calque, and lexical addition, through practical examples. The study emphasizes that effective use of lexicographic resources ensures terminological consistency, semantic accuracy, and high-quality specialized translation.
