This article examines the unique philosophy and practical approaches to the formation of media literacy and information culture in educational institutions of foreign countries. It analyzes the experience of Finland, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, and Russia in developing media education systems and integrating media literacy into educational processes. The study highlights the conceptual foundations, objectives, and institutional mechanisms that support the development of critical thinking, responsible media consumption, and information security. Based on international best practices, recommendations are proposed for improving media literacy education and strengthening information culture in modern educational institutions.
