Abstract

This article analyzes regional symbols and images in the dastans «Oshiq Qumri» and «Sayod va Hamro» from the «Oshiq» cycle from a linguocultural perspective. The study reveals the cultural content of geographical, ethnographic, romantic, spiritual-religious, and social symbols characteristic of the Khorezm region, expressed through language units. The connections among symbols, images, national mentality, folk worldview, and regional identity are demonstrated. The article opens new possibilities for the study of Uzbek epic poetry using the methods of linguoculturology.
