Abstract

The study investigates how contextual factors impact the translation of conditional mood expressions from English to Uzbek with a focus on maintaining the pragmatic objectives of the translation work. The study results show that translators need to understand three elements which include situational context and cultural norms and speaker intentions to effectively translate conditional structures.
