Abstract

The article gives information about proverbs and sayings in general. It describes several types of proverbs and sayings in English and Uzbek. And also it proves that all the concepts in English and Uzbek can not give the same meaning in the proverb and sayings. The article examples the concept "country" to prove the statement.
