As an indicator of tubulointerstitial renal damage in urine of patients with diabetic nephropathy, a study of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 and liver-type fatty acid binding protein is proposed. he significance of studying zinc-alpha-2-glycoprotein in the urine of patients with diabetic nephropathy as an indicator of the initial stage of disease progression instead of microalbuminuria was revealed. The study demonstrated the significance of inflammatory mediators IL-18 and IL-6 in the urine of patients with diabetic nephropathy as a test indicating the development and progression of the disease.
