Abstract

The article presents the results of a retrospective study of case histories of 89 children from 2 months to 16 years with pathology of the gastrointestinal tract. Predictors of the development of such disorders as functional dyspepsia, functional constipation and protein-energy malnutrition have been identified. The connections between intrauterine and postnatal pathology and the development of functional gastrointestinal disorders in older age are considered, and their pathophysiological mechanisms are noted.
