Abstract

Basalt fiber has gained popularity in concrete reinforcement due to its superior mechanical properties and environmentally friendly manufacturing process. This study explores the potential applications of three types of basalt fiber reinforcement: filament, bundled dispersion fibers, and basalt fiber-reinforced polymer bars (minibars). The mechanical performance of these fibers was evaluated by analyzing their effects on the pre- and post-cracking behavior of concrete, as well as their fiber-concrete interfacial properties.
