Abstract

In this article, we examine the nature of international crimes and offenses with international implications. It examines how these terms are defined in international legal documents. Next, the focus shifts to the Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which examines how these acts are codified and their key characteristics are outlined. The article highlights the absence of a specific definition of "international crime" in the ICC statute. It examines how scholars have defined this concept in order to address this gap.
