Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the grammatical relations between the components of word combinations and their functional-semantic characteristics. Types of syntactic connections such as government, agreement, and adjacency are theoretically explained, and their role in speech is revealed. The possibilities of expressing meaning in word combinations, their semantic load, and the changes that arise depending on the context are substantiated with scientific examples. As a result of the research, the role of grammatical relations in the formation of meaning is clarified.
