Abstract

The selection of patients was carried out using a prospective method. A total of 110 patients were selected. The distribution of patients by gender was as follows: 60 men and 50 women were selected. During the examination, the following was determined: - blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and β-lipoproteins, as well as the Kettle index. All patients were divided by age, gender and concomitant diseases - the patients were aged 20-80 years and did not receive glucose-lowering therapy. No positive changes were noted in 31 of 55 patients in the control group, i.e. in 56.4%. Adherence to a healthy lifestyle was noted in 24 patients in the control group, i.e. 43.6%. In 51 of 55 patients of the main group, that is, in 92.7%, the prevalence of MS components decreased when using a special algorithm of diet therapy with traditional preventive measures. In 4 patients, i.e. 7.3%, the change was not obvious, that is, these patients did not change their usual lifestyle, and the harmful effects of risk factors in these patients remained.
